My father gave me my first camera when i was nine. It was a 35mm Petri FT. My favorite part of this new 'toy' was after each shot I had to pull this lever back to advance the film (it made a really cool sound). After the last shot was taken i had to pry up this little crank from the bottom of the camera to wind the film so i could take it out to be processed. I quickly filled 3 rolls. At 9 years old with no concept of money, my dad quickly put a limit on my new hobby. I somehow magically never ran out of film. Thanks Dad.
The Petri FT and later my Kodak Retna Reflex III (for my 13th birthday)
I chose Disc-Jockey as a career and still love every moment. I get to play music and organize weddings. There is no better job in my eyes. After a 26 year run of DJing my love for photography has never waned. I bought a pretty nice point and shoot camera a few years ago for the sole purpose of taking photos at my wedding receptions for use on my website. http://www.djresources.net The more photos I shot the more i liked it. I started showing up early to my wedding receptions to take photos of the incidentals. I quickly began to purchase more camera equipment. I now have what I consider a pretty decent arsenal. I have 1 pro camera and 2 backups. A well rounded lens stash from a super wide 11-16mm to the Canon 70-200m L. Slowly i started gathering enough images to share.
